Cultural landscapes in Italy

As is also the case with Spain, I haven’t been to Italy very often to take photographs. I visited Tuscany to photograph the famous cultural landscapes there. You are probably familiar with those photos of hilly landscapes with vineyards, a farmhouse on a hilltop, and a road lined with cypress trees. Photographed and painted almost endlessly. So perhaps there isn’t much glory left to be gained here, but I still wanted to make an attempt to visualize my vision of Tuscany.

City trips

In addition, I took a number of short city trips to Rome, Florence and Venice. Experiencing culture and visiting museums was usually the main goal. I always visited the cities during the low season in December. So the weather was usually mediocre, often foggy and chilly. The advantage, of course, was that I could visit and photograph these busy tourist destinations in relative peace.

The mountains of northern Italy

I visited the Dolomite mountain range in the north many times in winter to ski. The camera always came along, and every now and then I alternated sports with photography. The landscapes in the Dolomites are extremely beautiful and impressive, and many landscape photographers have taken pictures here. Perhaps unnecessary, but I have added a few photos here as well, in addition to all those photos already floating around on the internet.
